I'm Fred. I grew up in Ghana and now I build software out of Boston. A lot of who I am started back there.

Somewhere between those two places I fell in love with making things that work, ship, and outlive the demo. That's still the whole job for me.

I studied software engineering at RIT, then went deeper with a master's at Northeastern. School gave me the fundamentals. Hackathons gave me the habit of building under pressure and finishing what I started.

At Amplify I did the unglamorous, deeply satisfying work of making software trustworthy — shipping a flashcards app to a quarter-million students, tightening load times, killing duplication, catching the race condition before anyone else felt it. The boring parts are usually where the real engineering lives.

Then Tesla, building agent orchestration and ops tooling for the Robotaxi and Vehicle Software teams. Most recently I was the founding applied AI engineer at Marcelo, a vertical AI startup for professional sports clubs, owning the agent infrastructure and the whole interaction layer.

Outside of work I'm always building something. Projects like TariffWars and Scentinel are where I move fastest and chase whatever I'm curious about. JavaScript and TypeScript are my home turf; I love the immediacy of the web, the speed of going from idea to thing-you-can-click. Away from the keyboard I'm a dog person through and through, I play piano, and I spend a fair amount of time on a skateboard. The things you do for no reason make you better at the things you do on purpose.
